Description

Vanderbilt University’s Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions (CSDI) seeks up to three Postdoctoral Scholars to conduct research on political institutions, opinion or behavior during the 2025-2026 academic year. We are particularly interested in scholars who would like to work alongside the faculty and research centers at Vanderbilt.

Qualifications

Applications are welcome from scholars who have received or will receive their doctoral degrees between September 1, 2022, and August 1, 2025, for year-long appointments beginning September 1, 2025. There is no teaching requirement associated with these positions, but Postdoctoral Scholars will be expected to spend up to 20 hours per week contributing to the Center’s ongoing research projects. Successful candidates will receive competitive salary, health care benefits, office space, computing resources, and a research fund.

A graduate school transcript, a writing sample, and letters of reference are also required.
