The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications from outstanding political scientists specializing in any subfield within political science for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor. This position is part of a broader multi-year faculty hiring initiative in the data sciences. Candidates will be core members of Vanderbilt’s recently established Data Science Institute, and will be expected to contribute to the research and teaching mission of the institute, and ideally to foster research collaborations with existing faculty across academic departments working on data science-related topics.  The political science department is committed to building an intellectually vibrant, culturally inclusive, and academically diverse community of exceptional faculty.  The appointment will begin Fall 2021. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. The Committee will begin reviewing files as early as November 16, 2020.
