Position Description
The Department of Political Science at Vanderbilt University invites applications from outstanding political scientists with a specialization in American political behavior for a tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor. We are interested in scholars who study any of a range of topics, including public opinion, voting behavior, political participation, identity, media, and representation. The department is committed to building an intellectually vibrant, culturally inclusive, and academically diverse community of exceptional faculty.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will be able to contribute to undergraduate and graduate training in political behavior as well as contributing to substantive literatures in political science. Candidates able to assist in graduate training in quantitative methods, formal theory, or other methods should indicate those competencies. The appointment will begin Fall 2025. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.
